Are We Really This Stupid

Watched an add on the tele the other day spouting on about the benefits of EVs.
Showed an EV driver pull up to a recharge point, plug the cable (that has been made to look like a petrol pump hose and  nozzle) in to the re-charger, and this person stands there holding the re-charger (nozzle) like they are filling up with petrol....I wonder if they know that they will be standing there holding that hose (cable)  for at least a couple of hours  while that electricity tank fills up with electricity??....  

Like a lot of tv ads they like to treat us like mushrooms?
SUV ads that make the car go up a near vertical cliff always makes me laugh.

Yeah they are a bit of a laugh .
can just picture it:
Couple of blokes buy a real mongrel tough bush bashing rig that will go anywhere..even climb a ladder if it had to. Anyway out into the great unknown they go and eventually come up against a fair dinkum vertical climb that would test a mountain goat: This rig has everything to cover every break down possible. (That'l be the day)
Hey Max ! ya wanna ava go at this one? Piece of piss bert ya wuss.  Max  guns ut and after a couple of practice runs / failed attempts, gets her to the top and comes to an abrupt stop. Max gets out of the rig and checks the way ahead. Hey Bert! Wot Max?? Didja fit this rig with a parachute, its' a long way down off the other side of this  climb mate. Hey Bert! Wot Max? Didja pack the EPIRB?? Wot's an EPIRB Max?
