Another speck.
I headed out on Wednesday and it was quite windy, which probably kept the mozzies away. It was either the wind or the march flies ate them all. There were lots of them but not as many as GemQ encountered. Maybe the wind blew a lot of them away.
It was an uneventful day with plenty of rubbish and pellets. As I was detecting my way back to the car I got a faint signal. It took a while after battling the inch ants, before I finally located this small 0.16 gram piece. Anther faint signal right next to it and I discovered another pellet. Good thing I got the gold first or it would probably still be in the ground.
Look on the bright side, only another few weeks and you'll only be battling the mozzies.
Good luck out there, regards Axtyr.

Yes the march flies and golden orbs are out at the moment.I leave the windows down an inch to let all the buggers out. That 0.16 is the right color its not getting any easier.
