Four Months away up north
After 4 months away we finally made it home through all the covid restrictions across 3 states.
We spent 2 weeks prospecting at Tibooburra, as seen in Gem & Treasure. We then traveled up through Warrie gate into Qld. Once into the sunshine state we wandered up to the Whitsundays, Cow Bay in the Daintree then on up to Cooktown then all the way back down to Tin Can Bay visiting family all the way. We actually got our first jab (Phizer) at Cow Bay and our second at Proserpine.
Passing through Cleremont we never stopped or did any prospecting, although we did think about it. From Tin Can Bay we headed home through NSW where we self isolated all the way into SA. But our self isolation did not hold water and we finished up self isolating for 14 days at home making it 18 days of self isolation. Even at home self isolation is no fun.
We would have loved to either go back down through Tibooburra for some more prospecting or drop into some of our old spots in Victoria, but such is the virus problem both options were out of the question.
We did hear that it was very crowded up in Tibooburra, though. But this was after we got home.
We now cannot get into Vic, or back until they get themselves under control, probably next year.
If we can, we are going to try, once again, to do some prospecting in Tassie.
As of now our USB memory stick is back up in the For Sale section. It sure has been and eventful year so far.

Good to hear & glad you both made it back safely Jim. Unfortunately these are the times we face. We can only hope the sciences in conjunction with the government, keep working on ways towards putting an end to this everchanging virus, more sooner than later.
