md, we drove into the Palmer late 80's had to take the toeball fiiting off the back because the back end of the cruiser was dragging thru the creeks eg from memory 45deg into the creek, creek say 2m wide and xx degs out, then the very steep hills and onto the top of the hills/range one side of the road with a steep drop off. Went in with 3/4 of a tank of Diesel, SWMBO could not stand looking at the gauge reading empty going up some hills, so we did not make it. At the time both of us had ML 15000's or 16000's.
