Recent Heathcote find

G'day, I recently dug up what I thought was a hot rock about 6in down with the SDC, in what looked like a small mullock heap near an old surfaced area. It gave off a loud "junk" sort of signal and was more black in colour than the brown, I almost threw it away. Gave it a bit of a wash and thought I saw a very tiny speck of yellow on the surface so I cracked it in half and to my total amazement there was lots of the lovely shiny yellow stuff gleaming up at me; I had to look more than twice i assure you. I bottled it and took it home to mill down a bit and pan and roughly 6 grams later, lots of very fine gold, some nice little pieces and tiny species as well in there. I wish I took a photo of the rock before I broke it up. Best find to date by far and absolutely rapt.
