TARSACCI beach outings in Oz.
Went to do some 10¢ coin depth testing in wet sand with the MDT-8000 as it's said single frequency detectors are no good for that purpose, I figured it's better to try and know than to be ignorant . . . . . test turned out just fine.
Afterwards a swing up the dry sand to see if the settings used in the wet could be used in the dry did produced a few items.
Ring looked good for 2 sec. then the custom jewellery classification revealed itself.

Hi Ivanll.
So Tarsacci is ok for beach work?
I have been curious about that tecta but have not found many in depth testing results.
Wet sand work is ok or good??

Re: TARSACCI beach outings in Oz.
No trouble using this detector for beach work dry/wet or in the water.
It's dead easy to set-up even with a few different settings not available on other VLF detectors.
I've looked for videos on wet beach depth testing results of the Equinoxes, they to are in short supply, conversed with some Nox. users that don't even know how deep their detector can detect a 10¢ coin on a wet beach and still they talk about how deep it go.
My first beach outing with the MDT-8000, was supposed to do a depth test but got caught up in the fun of detecting with this tecta.
2 Silver items, finger ring and ear ring.

Yeah, still not much in the way of reviews, but the detector has got plenty of followers.
Maybe I won't toss out my safari just yet.

Just finished watching six youtube vids re the Tarsacci.
Think I will keep my Safari & Gold Bug DP.
2000 AUD is a bit rich for what it is I feel.

Re: TARSACCI beach outings in Oz.
It is a good deal of cash, if we had a better $ exchange rate things would look different.
For me, when going detecting one might as well use a detector that reaches a depth that is beyond what is usual and get the targets that have been out of reach in the past and therefore missed.
Another and maybe better reason to obtain and try a new detector is; one got to do it while one is still capable the day will come soon enough where we just have to sit back and make do with good memories of the past.
My aim is to be rich in good memories.
Items here, from a beach used by US and other troops doing WW II.

Sounds like good logic Ivanll.
Maybe I should stock up on some new memories cos a lot of the old ones have apparently disappeared....
