If you don,t know what to do with all those artifacts that you found in the "junk shop" [AS WE KNOW ALL ARTIFACTS ARE TO BE LEFT IN THE GROUND]wink wink nudge nudge, know what I mean. Wink  Wink
Here's a solution ,go to the local op shop ,get some frames preferably ones that have a bit of depth and insert your artifacts that you "bought" and not found in the bush.
A bit of clear silicone does the job nicely to glue them to the back board.
They can be hung nicely in the dunny so you can stare at them while you ponder life's little problems,or if you're a bit of a cheap skate like me; they make a great present for the grand kids or your partner Laughing  Laughing

Nice collection of goldfield memorabilia & smart thinking display work moredeep. As for the laws governing the finding of buried artefacts/relics on the goldfields, might be what they be, but that don't necessarily make them just/right.

It's better than all your treasures sitting in an ice cream container.
When it's wet and wild outside it's something to do,have fun.

Hi Moredeep

I am ready to try my arty farty copy of what you did.
My picture frames arent thick enough for my goodies
What size.. thickness did you use for the one with the spoon in it?
Thanks in advance

Hi Jen,that frame with the spoon it had a depth of about 40mm,
the button frame was recessed about 12.7mm/ or 1/2 inch for us old timers Laughing
Any depth will work ok, bigger objects, bigger recess/depth of frame, good luck
