Found a Shilling - 1931

After finding the threepence, posted under onthehunt's post, I decided to go back to the area near the creek in Mogo State Foret. There was an old track to the left that I walked, rather than going through the scrub, down towards the creek and on the way down in a water run off gutter I got an unusual signal and found an old shilling.

At the bottom of the track there was a well built old log bridge. I'm thinking I may have been on the old highway between Moruya and Mogo.  Looks like there were likely to have been timber cut there years ago. Also found a large horse shoe, likely a Clydesdale (left it on a stump).

It might not be gold in colour Annie, but all part of our Australian goldfield history. Well done.
