New Detectors in 2018
Has anyone heard of any new detectors coming out from Minelab in 2018?, apart from the release of the Equinox I have not heard of anything new like an upgrade of the gpz7000, or any pi type detector, I was hoping that minelab might release something like the sdc2300 in the same layout of say a Eureka gold or gold monster, nice and light and more ergonomic layout, I did pose the question to someone who should be in the know and the response was that they were working on it??......
While I love my sdc2300 for its abilities on small gold I would definitely snap up a more user friendly version of it in a heartbeat.
cheers

Re: New Detectors in 2018
gday au-fever. i was wondering much the same recently with respect to the 7000. it seems it and the 2300 are the kings at getting the small bits of gold, with the disadvantage of the 7000 being way too heavy. i have been hopeing minelab were working on a smaller coil for it. if not, with the weight problem i too would be interested in a super sensitive user friendly machine ... kev

New coil for SDC
Nugget Finder expect to release the 10x5 soon early 2018.
I’ll be putting up on our website when it arrives.
I am testing a prototype out at the moment, It is:
- super sensitive (but still need to swing it slowly for best results)
- lightweight (more balanced coil then the 8”)
- no more need for SDC skid knuckles
- much easier to adjust coil to detect 90 degree slopes
- can poke into very tight places, like scrub bushes, between tree stumps, nooks and crannies.
This is all I know, from Dean at Gold Search.

Re: New Detectors in 2018
Minelab, Garret, Fisher & Whites are all due for new detector releases/software upgrades some time this year fellas, not to mention some of the new, Deep Seeking Pulse Induction Detector releases, by Detech, Nokta & Makro over the last year or so. XP Deus has also been upgraded with new software.
Apart from the already released new coil range from Coiltek & Nugget finder over the last couple of years, further expected new coil releases are also in the making for this year. Just don't ask me for what & when.
Cheers Kon.

Hi Muzz
Is this 10x5 coil a replacement one for the sdc2300?
