Hello from Darwin!

Hi everyone. I'm new to prospecting and just panning at the moment. Not sure I want to spend $$ on a metal detector especially after reading the post on the current law situation in the NT in regards to prospecting. I note that there was a petition some time back and so was wondering whether it was successful and if the NTG revoked the law?? I also note that there hasn't been a post in the NT Gold Fields section for a while now. Is there anyone from the NT still actively on here?
