For those who paid full release price it shouldn't be much more than 1oz and
it will be easy to get that back on old patches alone as it will be hitting more bits in the 0.3 to 1 gram range from the DEEP
Looks like a fun holiday break coming up Hope there's no more holdups.
I hate that phrase 'open up the Goldfields again' stinks of sneaky car salesmen in my mind!

Re: 19 inch on the way
If $2000 for the new 19" coil is correct, I wonder how long it will be before MineLab drop the price after the early adopters et al have purchased and sales grind to a near halt just like the 7000 did around this time last year. It will be interesting to see what the final pricing is come release date and what the special price for the early pre-march buyers will be, lets hope we will know in a couple of weeks. LOL.

Re: 19 inch on the way
I dug 2 x 15" holes for some delightfully rusted historical bolt heads this morning with the 14" Zed coil. I'm starting to get the heebee jeebees about the 19" coil.
Must now.

Old patches.
Been back to them and not found a lot a few stragglers.
I will definitely be trying before buying this time round

Re: 19 inch on the way
gee rc62burke, how many 2oz gold nugs do you want to sell me for $2000 each, just name your number.
i for one will be getting the new coil as its already paid for!!!!!!!
some may have seen my statement that i challenged myself to run in deep and normal with the 14 inch about a month back. that was to get ready for the 19 inch coil. on the first day i found a 42grammer down deep (incorrectly stated as 52gramms - i had found another four pieces that day for ten grams and the total came to 52grammes. - my bad) and since have continued to run in deep normal and found a 19grammer.
so i am on the grouter, bring it on minelab, i am flush and ready for the challenge ... kev

Re: 19 inch on the way
All you guys telling MineLab you are happy with the $2000 price tag for the new 19" coil; spare a thought for those of us who are not so fortunate in terms of disposable $$$$$, MineLab might think we are all happy with the $2000 price tag and run with it, pity help their long term sales if they do.

They had already settled on the price months ago, remember that dealer announcement page mistake with a 1.5k USD price. I just hope the manufacturing issues don't add to the cost.
From what has been rumoured so far it is state of the art technology going into it, so that's reflected in the cost.
But you do need to have deep ground to make it worthwhile, areas where the nugget lines have decended beyond range, flat shallow eluvials may not warrant it.
Either way 2k is cheaper than a dozer.
As Kev suggests you may be able to run normal in difficult ground without all the commotion.
