Anyone suggest somewhere in australia that will custom make a battery pack for a tdi oz pro at a cheaper price than the whites one? $320 for a whites battery, there must be somewhere that can compete with that, surely? Tried J car....no good, will go to battery world tomoz and post results. Cheers dave.

4 x 18650 Li-Ion cells in a flat 4 cell battery holder and you got a battery pack suitable for a TDI-Pro. Exclamation

Ivan11, thanks for the tips, went to battery world, 4 x 18650, s in series will give me the 14.4v but at 2.2 amph, about 1/2 the life of the standard pack. What was interesting though was the geek behind the counter, who was really interested, came up with 2 othe suggestions,

1. Hook up 5 instead of 4 for 18v at 2.2 amph, that will give the tdi more punch, or depth.
2. Hook up 8 instead of 4. 2 banks of 4 in series, then the 2 x 4 cells hooked up in parralell to give a standard pack of 14.4 v at 4.4 amph.

Thae batteries are about $21 ea. Total cost including labour for the 8 cell pack, pretty close to 300 bucks, the Whites pack, about $320....oh well, worth the exercise I suppose.
Thanks for the advice.
