Bought the plans for the Gold Pype (AU$25.00) from the US, wouldn't be correct revealing the details other than saying it works perfectly with minimal water.

By jeez Captain  that's a ripper of a idea ,I can see gas bottles don't last long in your shed  It's given me ideas  to build one for my self now ,thou a bit different ,I think i'll cut mine horizontal down the middle , resulting in a bigger barbecue area in which to cook on ,same legs as yours ,few holes in the bottom ,to drop the ash ,but also I think mounting a fold up chimney ,( hinged so that it folded back over the hotplate ,for carting around ) to help the fire to draw ,( bit like a pot bellied stove ) But yeah it's worried me a bit in the past with a open camp fire ,with the possibility of sparks flying out ,plus with wind keeping the heat away from your cooking ,plus it would use a hell of  a lot less firewood ,yeah great idea .

I,m hearing you hugh62 there are plenty of options available to you I didn't put holes in the bottom I opted for an adjustable screw in vent in the front so to slow the burn down to just a tickle because I was thinking of coupling it up a to car gas tank to turn it into a smokehouse?????
