Re: wwwwwwwwwwww
under heading "salty" it says:
"You can try Manual Ground Balance with an up-down balancing technique."
but confused by this, as everything else I've read it's said to do the side to side or octopus ground balance. is this up and down technique only for manual balance in salty or all manual balances? and is the up and down like the pump technique?

The Next White Paper
Bought a new car few months back, the manufacturer was trying to save money and sold it without the front left hand wheel. When I rang the manufacturer to complain about the poor handling, they sent me a white paper that said. ONLY to be driven around left hand corners! It worked a treat. But GEEZ I do feel like I'm going around in circles

Re: wwwwwwwwwwww
How many more so called white papers are there going to be ? Who knows
I'm sure ML are working on a firmware upgrade for it if there have been several white papers produced now god only knows when the firmware fix will come along
I for one dont have any GB issues with my Z . unless of cause you dig a great sounding target only to discover that there is nothing there when you go over it with a 2300

No white paper reading for me.
Hi All. I have not yet even thought of reading these white papers. Why should I? My Zed works great for me using the settings I use. If it aint broke why try to fix it. Don't think reading the white papers going to make me a better detector operator or prospector, The proof is in the pudding, Food for thought.

Ignorance and arrogance leaves gold in the ground. Today we encouraged it...yesterday was a different day.
Re: wwwwwwwwwwww
Once all the white ones have been used, do they go on to the coloured ones?
Look out for the "brown" one

Why Read The WHite Papers
Troopy in reply to your question have I used the 7000 in WA? The answer to that is no. Why should I go to WA to use my 7000. Seems a lot of expense for the sake of saying iv detected in WA. Doing alright were I am thankyou very much. Sometimes the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence. Hope that answers your question.

Why Read The White Papers
Davsgold/Alchemist I don't have a problem ground balancing my 7000 not like some owners. After reading this thread it occurred to me how do other operators get on if they don't have a computer or are not members of prospecting/detecting forums How do they get to read these white papers? I haven't received one yet in the mail from Minelab They have all our addresses. After taking $10700 off us cant they afford the time and expense to send us these important White Papers you talk about.
