Where did you get your dolly pot?
For those who don't have the know-how or gear to make your own, where did you get your dolly pot from? And are you happy with it? I'm currently looking at getting one.
I went through the two older posts I could find: https://golddetecting.forumotion.net/t3443-my-new-dolly-pot and https://golddetecting.forumotion.net/t3221-finally-made-a-dolly-pot and would like to get something like GoldstalkerGPX made.
What are people's thoughts on what works and what doesn't?

MFDES -mate if you got a mate that's got a welder and can knock one up for you ,don't buy one ,otherwise a welding shop , they will have plenty of scrap around . I made mine out of a 150mm box ,about 300 mm high ,welded on to a 12mm base plate , 300 by 300 dia ,round pipe will do as well .There's nothing technical about them ,there's only 3 things I'd recommend ,if they can run a bead of weld around the inside as well , ( stops material from packing up in the corners ,and having to scrape out later with a lever ,) and the weight of your dolly bar ,the heavier the better I reckon ,mines a old axle shaft about 40 mm in dia ,about 2 meters long ,and thirdly always remember to wear safety glass's ,as espiscally with Quartz , it can come flying out razor sharp !!

Re: Where did you get your dolly pot?
Thanks Hugh, very good pointers. I know someone who might be able to do it. I'll start keeping an eye out in the tip shops and scrap metal sites.
I've accumulated a few pieces of reef quartz that cause the detector threshold to warble a little, no clear signal, but I did find a specimen nearby. I've been hanging on to them meaning to dolly them for quite a while...
