Hello from south west vic.

I have been a member for a while now and up until recently have only only dropped in on occasions over that time. All of my detecting has been done in central Vic when I can get away, closest area to me is about 2.5 hrs. drive. Hired an SD a couple of times when they first came out but then life got in the way until about 2 years ago when I purchased a GPX. Had the 5000 for about 18 months but really struggled to justify the cost of the unit compared to amount of time I got to use it so I sold it and purchased a F1A4 from auction and have done the basic mods. Still only finding rubbish so guess I am a slow learner. Experimenting with different coils at the moment. Might get a few hours in at Daylesford at the end of this week. Hope I will be able to contribute to this forum in the future.

Its a great hobby and if you walk over the gold its a bonus.
