I noticed over at Rob's forum that the accessories, spare batteries, I assume extra coils etc., will not be generally available until June ->

I go for extended runs into the bush well away from any chargers, base camp moves with me so solar is out of the question. I use a Coiltek Pocket Rocket system and eight 48 Watt hour batteries. I've decided to get a CTX alkaline battery holder and insert a GP power socket into it so I can run my Z from this. I don't mind the umbilical since where I go it's a safety feature to stop the Z sliding off down a bluff while I'm digging a target.

Because you definitely don't want to be shorting out Li-ions don't attempt this if you're unsure about battery polarity observance.

I get my connectors from this dude, Dale I think his name is, top notch service.

I hope Coiltek or DOC do something similar so that the Pocket Rocket will live on.

Also with the weight of the coil with repsect to it's size, the skid plate on mine is going to wear really fast, so until replacements are available I think I'll tape some extra polycarbonate on the base to extend the life of it bit.

Cheers
