Give it time
To all those who sat on the fence and were quite happy for others to fork out the $ to purhase a GPZ 7000 but are now being impatient looking for feedback so as to make a decision whether to buy or not please give us time to give it a proper workout so as to form a fair dinkum opinion of it as we go over old and new ground.
A couple of points so far.
GT. Chattery over variable mineralsed ground
Seems to like charcole and some hot rocks.
also sounded off on a couple of tree roots. likes all sizes of bird shot.

Fare enough G.B. lets see what it's really like , please check that ML claim of up to 40% extra depth .
As for those happy to sit on the fence , $10,700 is just beyond me financially

Re: Give it time
I've have come to the same finding as G.B. with the bird shot and the tree roots.
This new machine has 7 timings in it at least 2 of which are new compared to a GPX, what to called them is the Q.
But give us all a bit of time with them and wait and see.
(hey G.B. leave some for me )

Re: Give it time
I hear you about the tree roots! Nearly dug up a 40 foot gum in the dark last night hahaha! Gave up in the end as it was well past beer o'clock.. I'll still be going back to make sure it's not a retirement brick!
Not sure about this 40% stuff but, it might only need to be 4% better than the 5000 to find a screamer!
I like the machine, picked it up second hand last night. The assumers will be delighted with this point no doubt.. Assume away!
So far it's;
Smooth
Quiet
Auto tracks nicely
Picking up lead shot farther away than the 5000 was
I'll be giving it a few weeks/months before I make a final assessment of it.
Wish me a brick
