I was wondering if anyone has ever waterproofed their gold bug coil and cord and used it under shallow water? pirat Question

All the coils (6.5',10',and 14') are waterproof Very Happy

The coils are set in resin to make em waterproof but i would recommend a little neutral cure silicone
around the coil cable fitting, simply unscrew it and smear a dob around it, replace the locking nut finger tight only and wipe excess off.

Thanks for the info Pete!! I know of a couple of likely spots to stick my coil into some shallow streams where I am pretty positive that thumnail size nuggets are hiding!! The only problem is that I can't get there until July.(2180mtrs.) T38 Les, IDAufinder
