Turtons creek Vic
Hi guys, Merry Christmas!
I was thinking of heading down to Turton's creek Vic this boxing day. (Family lives in Leongatha)
I've read up on the history and looked at other posts on this forum, and it seems like the gold is a bit scarce. Has anyone got any info they would like to share?
I will most likely be test panning, as i don't think my sluice would be needed. (Is the creek dry this time of year?)
I've heard its beautiful. After such a stressful year it will be nice to relax.
Do we know if the gold was fine or nuggety? Maybe i should swing a 8" coil if the creek is dry
Any tips or advice is appreciated.
Regards,
Joel

Have not been prospecting their since 1980. The area was dredge in 1930 down to the waterfall. Camping spot in the area. Have a look at this Link for Turton's creek
