Hullo all - Jims the name
Howdy everyone. Sorry to bore you all with my history - but here goes. First started out panning up around Slaty Creek, Creswick in 1972 with my Pop and his brothers. They were seriously tough old buggers. I still have a small glass bottle with my colour - very happy memories. Fast forward a few years - I now run a 4500, had a few nice finds, nothing spectacular but happy anyway. Not the worlds greatest detectorist and still manage to dig a lot of ground noise. Still coming to terms with settings etc - I ran an SD200D for a few years on a very part-time basis (kids/work etc etc) I mainly detect around the Triangle.
I was at the bash the other week, more by accident than anything else. May I say - very impressive, in fact, jaw dropping. I can only say this - well done. As I am very new to all this, in current terms, I was a bit shy and sort of didn't get too involved (wrong word but I think you know what I mean). Folks - it was a great time and I was happy to contribute my $ to the cause.
Anyway - happy to contribute in whatever way I can.
good hunting.
