Beating Hot ground in Sensitive Extra
Gday guys! I have been using a GPX4000 with a 17 X 11 NFA mono for some time now. I have also had the opportunity to watch JP's dvd on the 4000. I'm not running a booster
I have started to experiment with different timings and setting when I come across a faint / soft signal. There seems to be quite a drop in performance when switching from sensitive extra to sensitive smooth. I target in SE that is clear as day was only just noticeable in SS.
So run everything in SE! I started to get ant nests, termites, charcoal, and hot ground.. Is it a simple as locating in SE and switching to SS to discriminate false signals?

Mate, you will miss heaps if you do it that way.
I found a target that nearly screamed in SE switched to SS could not hear it switched back to SE dug target 3gram piece, nuff said, don't use SS unless you have too, if you are digging all the other crap in SE keep doing that you will find a lot more gold, it works for me
