New member from Thailand
Hi,
I am from Amsterdam holland but I live in Thailand, I own a hardly used MineLab GP 3500 modded (complete works by Woody) and 3 carbon coils 11, 18 and 35 inch.
I have done some prospecting but only dug trash, the amount of trash is unbelievable in this country.
I bought a Fisher goldbug for discriminating targets but have yet so see if this is going to be feasible with targets about every half a meter I walk.
This is my introductory post to let you know who I am, where I am en what I am walking with.
Regards,
Rimbuman

Re: New member from Thailand
Welcome to the forum Rimbuman,
We humans are a very untidy race, no matter where you go someone has been before and dropped metallic rubbish.
Although, sometimes you may uncover a rare coin or artifact.
Here the West Australian gold fields are littered with rusting tin, bullets and boot tacks, however fortunately we are still able to dig a few gold nuggets.
There is a lot of info here, so hope you enjoy gleaning the interesting bits.
Good luck with future searches.
Peter

Can't wait to hear about your adventures
Good luck with your gp3500, they are a good machine.
Will pick up all the rubbish
BUT! they do find gold, when you walk over it.
Plenty of this to finally get

Hi Rimbuman and to the forum.
Following up from your story re all the trash, although it's not as sensitive, I'd be tempted to use a DD coil which allows you to use the discriminator so that you don't have to waste as much time digging up all that trash. Then when you found a piece of gold, then I'd put the mono coil back on to thoroughly go through the area. Might be something to think about...best of luck out there.
