How to Proceed
You find your first nugget of the day, how do you proceed? Start to circle from it, go directly away, look at the lay of the land? What is your method?

Re: How to Proceed
I didn`t want to say it but I usually throw the first two or three away as they might be chinese knock offs. If I find a fourth I go back and look for the ones I threw away. Makes it more exciting I think!

Re: How to Proceed
Yes Reg, Chain/detect in an ever increasing circle to try and determine whether there is a run and in what direction.
Re: How to Proceed
Agree with Nightjar on this one. Slowly and carefully chain the surrounding ground,to at least 5 meters in all directions from point 0. This should be more than enough to expose anything else with the nearby vicinity.
Cheers Kon.

Re: How to Proceed
I like to have a good look at the shape. Is it rough or smooth if it's rough look for any inclusions of iron or quartz or other variation of these then look for similar rocks or out crops in the area. Then usually spend a week or to believing there's a patch there some we're continue finding enough to keep this belief alive until you run out of water and have to go home.
