What‘s MPF Technology. Is it something very new? Magnetics are the widely used method used for gold extraction. Does MPF relate to it? I bought a metal detector from Gem System, Ontario which is working on GSM-19 and is working quite well. Now various geophysical equipments are available in the market and hope that Minelab SDC 2300 can be best among them. Waiting to know more details on 31st January. Best wishes .

Hey Gold Digger Dave
I am in the market for a compact, waterproof gold detector, so I can carry on my dirt bike !!!
Is this the right spec. 16'', this is extremely small, not that size is everything, it is more important how you swing the detector
I notice that this is exactly the specs from the mine labs web site ???
SDC 2300
Plus does it use standard batt. or are they re-chargable ???
Has anyone actually seen one of these ???
TIA

Here is a part of a quote I have seen elsewhere................. This unit is built to Military specs. When we first saw this unit, as a demonstration of how tough it was, they took it out from under a cover and threw it from the stage on to the floor. Just to show that it was shock proof and military tough.
One of the target markets I see this unit for is the guy who hikes 4 miles to his claim up in California carrying his highbanker on his back or a sluice and other equipment. This bugger fits neatly into a backpack.
...............So it might be what you are after.
