Post use review bazooka gold trap Vs keene A52
Well guys its not really a comparison the Bazooka blows the traditional style sluice out of the water big time. Its extremely easy to set up, the clean up is even easier and it catches all the gold from micron to pickers and has no need to classify/sift the material prior to use. In fact you can process easily 20 times what you can with the keene/traditional style. To put it simply I was blown away at how good it was. The only drawback I could see is the keene could operate under less water flow but if you have good high speed water flow the bazooka is the only way. I had the prosepctor 36inch but it does go to much larger but any larger you would need at least 2 people to use as it does get heavy when its full of water. The only other setback which I didn't experience is that the water flow to the lower section has to be clear and some people have reported leaves etc blocking them but I guess it depends what type of creek etc you are in. Mine was mainly gravel and I had no dramas. I have heard they are working on a highbanker and if thats the case I'm going to get one. Clean up took less than 20seconds and empties into 20L bucket and fills one pan exactly no matter how much material you put through. Can't speak highly enough of this. Plus had a good trip despite the surf being no good at least the gold finding was fun with my mates.

Forgot to mention that it takes only about a minute to process a 20L bucket of material under good water flow it did take approx 3-4min under slow flow but hey that was still quicker than the keene

The Bazooka Gold Trap Kicks Ass
I bought the Bazooka gold trap prospector with extended body last summer and that thing is awesome. Outstanding fine gold recovery and I can dump 5 gallon buckets on it and all I need to do is keep the grizzly clear. The only drawback with the Bazooka Id have to say is that it requires a pretty strong current to work properly. If it were me I would buy the bazooka rather than the Keene and back it up with the LeTrap which works excellent in slow currents. This way you have the best fine gold recovery and can work in a wide range of conditions. The LeTrap will process material with a small 12v pump as well. But I love my Bazooka prospector sluice. I have done 160-5 gallon buckets in an afternoon with it and I have more confidence in its abilities than any other sluice Ive ever used. Riffles try to catch gold in a vortex to stop it from being washed out. The Bazooka creates a fluid bed where heavies sink quickly. once the gold is in the catch basin its not going anywhere. to high a feed rate or no feed rate the gold in your fluid bed is safe. It is much lass suseptible to mishandling as well.
Hope this helped Good Luck!
