Re: gp3000 mono coil choice
Mate,
I have the old 11, but if were to buy again, then I'd get the 14 blitz model.
I can only say that Coiltek have customer service next to none! And no, I am not affiliated with anyone 'cept the missus!!

Re: gp3000 mono coil choice
G'day fabhil
Although both the 11 inch & 14 inch Coiltek terracotta monos work very well on the 3000 on low to mild or medium mineralization, you'll find the same make & size coil in DD configuration to work far more stable and quiet when working on or over Vic mineralized soils. The only advantage with mono coils on the 3000 is when working bare bummed (free of mineralized soil),rocky or slatey ground, once again of low to mild mineralization.
Cheers Kon.

Re: gp3000 mono coil choice
11" Mono purrrrrs on the GP3000 excellent combo, actually Kon recommended it to me a few years ago and it certainly found the yellow.

Re: gp3000 mono coil choice
Flat lead ones were the first that came out and a lot of people swear by them, but others like myself, found it not as good as the Pro Elite. I suppose, a lot has to do with your mental attitude and how it makes you feel.
