Hi all,
Dotted with relics of the gold mining era, the hills around Warrandyte NE of Melbourne.
Anyone have any info on this area?

Hi Nightjar, I live about 20 mins from the warrandyte gold field, been there detecting about a dozen times, Mate that place must have been a shooting range at one stage, there are millitary bullets everywhere! Lots and lots of rubbish, Also very noisy as in EMI prob cause it is so built up. I havent found any gold or relics there but there are plenty of targets to dig.

Hi Peter, don,t know if you have seen the posting by "Mickance" under "LINKS" relating to 'researching old gold areas'. Brings up info on gold in particular area from old newspapers.Best of luck, johnf
