Having a hard time

Hi can someone please tell me if am using my minelab musketeer advantage right,yesterday I went to the beach and got $75.00 in coins and a watch am I doing some thing wrong,I thought I will get much more than that, anyway thanks again general Hercules for sending me your ditector and all the best regards Bad Boy Billy

G'day badboybilly I would say that your not doing anything wrong... Do you know if that beach you are working has had any others working it... To have found the items you have found I would say you are doing OK... Keep up the good work...

I've just spent 3 months on the Gold Coast
Put many hours in
Found plenty of coins
But best day outing would have been less than $40
There was others detecting also

If you have hit an area & got $75 , then that's a great effort in my book

Well all I am going to say here is if we could go out and get that or better everyday, half of Austalia would be at the beaches all of them with detectors in hand. My opinion is you had an excellant day & need to relize what is realistic. Sorry but thats the truth.

Got to agree with the replies for sure, example just done 2 mornings beach detecting for 2 odd hours each and ended up with 20 odd coins for just over $11.00 for day one & 55 coins for $11.55 for day 2, My best morning tally was 77 coins, from memory around $23 so Billy to get your tally of $75 i would be very happy. Also you just never know, the next target could be a gold ring or something of great interest !

Yes the beaches certainly do change, but then sometimes the local council will add to the confusion.
There is a groin on a beach that I detect and the frequent sand movement is generally towards the groin at the expense of the rest of the beach.
Result of this is that occasionally the council will bring in heavy machinery and dig all the sand and lost coins from against the groin and cart it back up the beach.

One morning someone else beat me to the area of the dumped sand and detected over a hundred dollars in a short time, I turned up a bit later but only got about $40 for two hours detecting.

Most times the finds are a lot smaller, than that day’s lovely haul, now I keep that beach under surveillance as it must be getting about time for another good tidy up.

Just came back from 4 days at Kiama. After about 4hrs on the beach, over two days, I had found 20c & 2 tent pegs.
However, it was *very* relaxing. Also got to talk to a few young kids ( <6) about treasure!

Half your luck. I have spent 3x3hour mornings at differt beaches in the Jervis Bay area for a total of about $15.00 in coin,
1 fishing swivel, one tent peg, a dozen or so bottle caps, three aluminium cans, uncountable pieces of foil and numerous bobby pins. It's all good fun though. I'm not intending to stop too soon. Cheers, John49er

Com'on Badboybilly, you might as well tell us which beach you were working to get $75. If I get $10 per hour I think I am doing well, most times it is less than that.

Hey champ what's bs,and yes I dooooooooo very well on the beach two weeks ago I got $87 in coins in 2 and a half hours had to go home,tooooooooo frigen hot.

I personally know BBB and have done a lot of beaches with him. When he is working a beach he is a machine. My best on the same beaches is $94 and Bills' is about $95, So to say it's all BS, is Bullsh!t and you and anybody else who doesn't believe it, need to apoligise to him. And for those that didn't get that Bill was joking in his original post about only finding $75 that's no reason to mock him, it is your problem that you didn't "get it". Just like it is your problem if your not working hard enough and not finding much, or not on the right beach. JFC!
