Gold panning in south australia
Hi
Is there anywhere that you can pan in south australia around adelaide apart from the old dam in echunga as I find the gold is a bit thin on the ground, and am getting a bit bored with the same spot.
thanks

Re: Gold panning in south australia
Hi
You also have Jupiter creek but access to the dam where I used to go is now out of bounds as is on Police land.
There is Mt Crawford and there is water in the creek at Watts gully and also a small dam in Avenue gully.
There is gold in several creeks around the hills and a bit of research will show you where.
One of the areas above has a good amount of fine gold for SA and starts with the letter .......^........
You can take say 30 lt of water into a area and use something like a gold concentrator in a tub to save water and collect the concentrates and do a final pan off at home.

Where is the Sixth Creek that people talk about? I have looked it up on the map and been there but it's not the same place that people talk about.

Hi Sixth creek runs into the Torrens below the reservoir and has a road following it.
