What is about
You must be aged between 18 & 80 and hold a WA Miners Right to participate
Nuggets From Down Under Quad Bike & Prospecting Adventures is a led Quad bike journey looking for gold in the Australian Outback. As the more accessible areas for gold prospecting are heavily targeted we now need to look beyond the mapped, easily accessed gold areas for fresh ground for Prospecting. The adventure is fully equipped to go for a week at a time into remote areas. If you have chosen an Adventure Date, we suggest that you request the Factsheet for that tour and read over the itinerary where there will be more information about what you’ll do, riding conditions and weather. If you can’t find the information you’re looking for, or require further advice, please remember you can always contact us and we will be happy to answer your questions.
What to Expect
The “Adventure” is the core feature of a successful Quad Bike & Prospecting Adventure, there are no guarantees of finding gold or controlling the weather but we make the effort to put together enjoyable routes with prospective destinations and a very optimistic outlook to find fresh patches of gold. The Adventure will be mostly overland picking your way through natural bush land and desert tracks.. Your adventure leader will set the pace and a sweeper guide will be at the tail end so If you are looking for speed then this adventure is not for you. You will be expected to abide by pace and track set by the leader and sweeper. You will also be towing a trailer for your gear.

Quality quad bikes and trailers are used. Quad bikes are Automatic and a short training video will need to be viewed and a ride on the test ground will be required. We recommend bringing your own detector but we can hire one to you at an extra cost. The adventure guides are well seasoned prospectors and have vast knowledge which they will share with you along the way. We may linger in the ”worth a look” places and take in the scenery along the way. We design all our own itineraries, carefully researching each new route. We review our adventures to ensure that we offer the optimum experience. Nuggets From Down Under Quad Bike & Prospecting Adventures is a unique off road, overland Quad Bike & Detecting adventure operated in Australia.

All riders need is a good sense of adventure and don’t mind roughing it along with some gold fever.
We provide more to your quad bike experience or your Prospecting experience than most operations, but at a similar price.

Our service begins long before the adventure departs. To help you make your decision, we provide you with a detailed Factsheet for the Adventure with information on what you will do, what’s included, what the weather is like and what to expect. When you book a space we send you a pre-departure information sheet telling you what you need to bring, how to pack and what paperwork you will be required to present to us.

On the morning of departure you will meet your guide, cook and support vehicle driver who are responsible for taking care of you and your bike. We can pick you up from the Laverton airport, The Laverton Caravan Park or you can leave your own equipment at “The Bush Camp” we ensure that everything runs smoothly so you can enjoy a trouble-free journey with no worries about logistics or timetables.

The Adventure price includes all accommodation and all meals whilst participating on an Adventure. Accommodation outside of Adventure will be your responsibility. Your luggage will be carried in the trailers. Our staff will make any running repairs on your bike – and you as well, if necessary. During the rides, we keep you topped up with water, fruit and snacks and we make sure you get a nice cold drink at the end of each days riding. Alcoholic beverages are not supplied and there is no drinking alcohol whilst riding or detecting.
At the end of the day, you get to dine at our camp fire restaurant.

All meals are included, even though we are usually in remote locations. Camp fire roasts and Breakfasts with bacon, eggs and toast, on the BBQ every morning, there is also always a light alternative of cereal, muesli and juice available. Fresh coffee and tea are available at any time, just ask!
Every night we setup our bush camp. We select campsites that have a low impact on the surrounding flora and fauna, perfectly in tune with the surrounding environment. Of course the logistical realities of designing a quad bike & detecting itinerary and the ever changing conditions mean that it is not always possible to find our ideal bush campsite in each location.
