20th October Meeting

Hi All,

Well it's been 4 months since we all met up at Laanecoorie and only 8 months to the next one.

We have decided to form a committee to organise the next one so that we can meet most of the expectations.

We have chosen Saturday the 20th of October to meet up at Laanecoorie and start to get the ball rolling, so if you are interested in helping out or would like to have some input into the event please feel free to join us.

The plan is to catch up in the Park from 7pm on the Saturday nighht for a couple of hours, leaving both Saturday and Sunday to do some detecting.

We still have to sort out the big hurdle of insurance for the event, so please put on your thinking caps and come up with some ideas?

So for anybody who would like to get involved this is your chance.

There is an event in Ararat at the same dates so some members might head that way.
If the meet in Laanecorrie certain then i better book accommodation and get my fish supply for BBQ.

Will probably go Saturday early for some detecting(weather permit) and then come there in the evening and stay there.

Might be an idea to sync UHF channels so everyone that decides to maybe drop in (maybe me), might find someone on the radio....just a (clever) idea.

Tell em all where it is then go to location B thatle trick em Can i suggest channel 18 Its a standard caravan channel that a lot will already use and wont get too much standard use in the area that we will be in and if there are travelers in the area they will think we are crazy Finding gold in the bush They must be dreaming So what do you think Bite the bullet and set up on channel 18 and i will leave my radio on and catch you on the weekend Will be there from Thursday

On a more serious note some people might like to plan holidays or a few days off to suit or will we just let it all go
