Gypsy,
You may be out of luck. I have 188 of them and it doesn`t show up there. May not have been done yet.

I wish I had a few more lifetimes to go and spend a good 20 years in a place like that.

Gold In Them Thar Hills
Hi Gypsy,
You Wouldn't be concocting a mini gold rush would you, as if a gold rush of that time wouldn't be a major area to prospect, you say, no roads, no pegs.Your own story you've reprinted says there was a lot of very large nuggy's found, i'm sure that an area like that of old would not be forgotten today. We know you had a visit from a couple of guys from out that way, Rowles Lagoon,i was wondering if they were involved at all.
You wouldn't care to explain ?,as i see it nobody drops simple hints, not alone newspaper clippings, If you are genuine i appologise in advance
Regards Ron

Hi Ron,
these old newspaper clippings are from 1896,
in those days if men heard of a bigger and better gold find
they would pack up and leave the area they were working even if they were onto gold,
hence what happened here, so i am to believe,
i havnt been out there yet,
but as i said, looking at google earth seems to have been no activity and there are no live leases,
im just doing research for myself, not to cause any gold rushes etc, but who knows when i actually drive out to the area
it may be flogged to death by detectors already,
and the Woolgangie map does not cover Rowles lagoon?
cheers Gypsy
