hi mates , 2010 at Southern Cross i have found a 3 Pence Coin from 1921 .. not deep , only 1 " deep. This was great moment for me

I don't go quite that far back (1921) ... but I do remember the threepence (pronounced 'throopence') from the pre-decimal days ... what a brilliant find, being that it goes right back to 1921

As a young kid, I could buy a threepenny bag of lollies on 'pocket money' day, and the contents would last me a week!!

i found one on a digging 1858 and all i could think was this would have brought them the food and that, that needed and they had lost it... the other thing was going through my head was how hard they would have worked to earn it. it makes me think how easy we have it finding gold..
