Well done stopsy I was also out at that time had a bit of trouble getting my detector to run smoothly.

it was a pitty that the weather turn bad as it was nice out. i got it to quiet down a bit playing around with the settings wich i don't think i could done with the 4000 (not as smooth anyway)

Well Done Stoppsy you are starting to get the 4500 up and running properly now. Before you know it you will be the old pro again as you were with your 4000. I see you are still using the 8" coil, it is murder on the small stuff. Ever tried an 18'' just to see how you may go on deeper ground?

hey wombat, i'v got an 18" round N/F coil that i'm going to use after i clean these small ones out. once i hit the main bush area i hope to start hitting the bigger bits. i'v just got to keep watching JP's dvd on the 45 and take it all in.

I promise you mate there is a big one out there with your name on it. All you have to do is wave your coil over it.

Well done on your small finds, Looks like Private property if so you should do ok

There are lots of Good digging on private land that has not been worked hard just hope all get the right to swing on there before entering onto it.

hey mate, it's a mate land he use to let a few on there but they trashed it and there was a stop put to it. i spent half a day filling in holes they didn't refill. i'm just lucky to be still aloud to be on there my self after this had happen.

Yes no good when you have to do someone else work like filling in holes all day I am sure you would be rather digging your own and back filling.

Stoppsy I can tell you that there is alot more gold in that Pipe clay that your Detector can not see, if you were to knock down those mounds or screen it you would be surprise what would come out.

I am not saying this is what you should do as it would make you look as bad as the once that had not filled in there holes.

I know of some chaps that did alot of work on pipe mound and found oz's in very small gold which soon adds up and it is the cleanest gold you will find.

Good to see that you are using the best coil for the job at hand.
