hi
i have a question for other members that use the 17x11 liuts wire model.
i love this coil its found me a fair bit of gold down to .12 of a gram at a coupple of inches deep and its the coil that i use the most.
i find that it is not sensitive at the heal and toe compaired to my 14 or 24 elypts.
as in when pinpointing its more like a round coil as using the hole coil and the edges to pinpoint.
i am used to it ang are happy with it i would like to know if other members have found this also.
or if its a defect.
cheers pete

Hi Pete
You are correct, the field is quite broad and finding small targets can take a bit of work as compared to the 14"x9".Sounds like your coil is working normally.

thanks for the feed back steve
its not just on tinney nugetts but in general.
got sick of my getecting buddy telling me to use the nose to pinpoint he couldnt under stand it
he was doing the digging for me on a small patch we found and hearing the responces from my speaker.
to pinpoint with it i come from diffrent directions till target is heard then split the overlap diffrence .
its like the first 35mm is not picking up any thing.
my other coils are very diffrent as the nose is very sensitive on them.
