SANDFORD REGION? Empty SANDFORD REGION?

Not being from Vic, I was wondering if there are any known prospecting/ gold mining areas around the Sandford or Casterton regions of Vic? If not, where would the nearest areas be? Can't find much online about those rural farming areas thus far. Thanks in advance. Smile

im looking around this area too, i have heard that a farmer on the merino side of casterton found quite a bit of gold plowing his paddocks, i cant find much either so shall keep you informed. (i live in hamilton)
