Hi All ,
Had my first trip with my new GPX 5000 , had the last 10 days of November in the Eastern Goldfields W.A.
I was a bit worried comming from the GP EXTREME. I read the manual for about a month before I left . I was very impressed with the GPX , it's a lot smoother & quieter than the GP . I was using the N/F 14" EM the signals are so crisp & clear you can't miss them . Most of the nuggets were one to five inches deep . I got 109 pieces for just on TWO ounces . There were 97 bits for under 30 grams , and 45 of them were 0.25 of a gram or under .
The biggest bit was 16 grams .
I tried posting a photo but too hard for a computer dumb-bum . May try again later .

got the photo up but have to work on centralising the pic.

Great work Charlie. It's a quantum leap from the Extreme to a 5000 but it looks like it was a piece of cake for you. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hi JackOgold ,
Very happy with the 5000 . Didn't do much experimenting with different settings this trip , just found a setting that worked and stuck with it . Can't wait for the weather to cool down in the new year and get out and do some testing with different coils and settings .

Cheers Charlie c
