Hay Stoppsy.

Why don't we have a forum get together, camp out on site and we will all give you a hand to clean it up before the 'other' prick gets there? You can have all the finds, don't want any of it, just could be fun.

Best thing to do, which maybe to late, is to stop broadcasting it over a public forum.
You just might be advertising your spots to other grubs as well?

Gold is gold my friend, and some see it as a must have item with no exceptions to the rule.

I think there might be some symptoms of "gold fever" starting to develop here........

I feel so lucky not having any private property to detect on, I couldn't handle the stress and worry...

Theyre probably out there right now detecting while youre here on the net..
I was sluicing in a creek once and there wasnt much there, but I showed a nosy old couple a bit of color who were bushwalking and bugger me the next day being a saturday there must have been twenty ppl from a local detector club rock up and start waving their wands everywhere..
The best policy is to say nothing unless you are prepared to share... Very Happy

ahh ok i thought you said they where from Melbourne, if they are local then thats a different story and yeah it would make me nervous if some dero knew i had an undisclosed amount of gold on the property , hide the gold somwhere and other valuables and go and tell the neighbours you saw someone lurking around the street, it will give any nosy neighbours something to do,

ps make sure the guns are kept secure thieves will pinch them as well.

Going on Private Property - Page 2 Empty Character building

Post  maxxAu Mon Nov 01, 2010 11:29 pm

This is a good character building excercise for you Stoppsie. I think you will learn something from the whole dilema.
Tell nobody, not even the dog.
As for the moment, forget about the whole thing and carry on as normal. Dont beat yourself up over something you cant control.
Just a quick question. How many people do you know on this forum, not intimately but you know who they are and where they generally detect? Now, how many people know you?? Probably more than you think. Shocked
Maxx
BTW I dont know you from a bar of soap....................yet joking

i'll leave it up to you stoppsy, but if someone comes into MY house and poses a Threat to MY family i'll Shoot first And ask questions Later. It seems you have the right hardware to protect yourself ie firepower and God forbid it comes to that but it's best to be found ready than not. Cheers mate Best of Luck
