Coming to Cairns Empty Coming to Cairns

Hi All,

Just joined your group. I have been Gold detecting in New Zealand for many years but haven't made it over..... until soon.

Coming over July 5 2022 and doing a Cape York trip then back in Cairns on July 19th for a few days of gold hunting. Thinking of going to Palmerville station for 4 days detecting.

Anyone been to Palmerville? Worth the trip? Is there much junk? Anyone keen to join up? Anywhere better to go?

I have a GPX6000 and a Nox 800. Is it worth bringing both?

Welcome to the forum Jon.
Well, you do have two very good detectors (each to their own specialty). My motto is, better to have in ones possession, than not to have in ones time of need, but I have no detecting experience in QLD, to help you out with. Maybe some others on here can point you in the right direction
