nox 800 for gold

hi everyone, new to the forum, i have a nox 800 and wondering if anyone has been using it to find gold with luck?

I used mine at Tibooburra 2 3 years ago on a trip when my GPX5000 was playing up. It was only for a short period and I found it noisy and difficult to hear targets but did find two very small pieces that my mates SDC with Coiltek coil could only just pick up.
Neither piece registered on my scales

Ditto in Tib 2 years ago, for a short tryout in a patch we found, ie a known gold area (normally use a Z) found a small piece with a 6 inch coil, did not try the standard coil. Did the same in Vic GT with no success.( not looking in the right places)

i tried my mates out the other day with the 6" coil and found it very noisy also, i ended up running his coin settings and using all metal mode as i found running it in gold1 was very chirpy and annoying.

I have found coins in very Trashies areas in the Vic GT, ditto a mate and he a 1/2 sovereign. To me, the Nox 800 is a great detector.
