Minelab has a prize for the best 'Success' story each month. I got a 600 (my first detector) in July 2021. My article describes my experience learning to use it in Canberra during the Lockdown. It has 730 words and three pictures; and includes tips for other novices from my experience. Is there any interest here and, if so, is it possible for me to post?

Hi Dave,
I only submitted my story yesterday and I notice that the latest on the MINELAB site is from August. So if mine gets chosen, it's likely to be a while before it appears on their site.
Cheers, Bruce

I won the Minelab success story thing, here was my story

https://www.minelab.com/community/success-stories/recruited-to-try-find-lost-wedding-ring-in-a-huge-paddock

The prize was pretty good at the time, got me a bunch of Minelab clothing and accessories and I think it was $300 USD to spend at my local Minelab dealer or something around that figure, I used it to buy a new battery for my GPX 4500.

Good luck with yours, fingers crossed you win it. I'm always iffy about competitions as they're there to harvest data and you never know if the prize or winners are real, fortunately the Minelab one is genuine.
