Been awhile.
Hi all been a long time since been on the forum, have not been detecting for many years now. My young fella wanted to take me out for fathers day, so dusted off the 5k cables perished ect. Anyway cut a long story short he is keen to follow through, my coils are over plus 3 years old.Just asking if there has been any significant coil updates for the old girl? Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: Been awhile.
Welcome back bloodgold2
Less a few minor changes to the forum, everything else pretty much has remained the same.
As you probably know, Vic & NSW are under lockdown at the moment, hence the forum running slow, but the moment we're allowed to travel once more, things should improve for the better.
Not sure if I can call them significant coil upgrades but improved coil technology none the less.
All 4 of these coil manufacturers (Nugget Finder, X-Coils, Coiltek & Detech) offer the latest variety in way of improved coil technology/design. I guess the rest would depend on the needs of each individual.
Look up their web sites & get an understanding of what's on offer, suiting you best.
Cheers Kon.

Re: Been awhile.
Xcoils are by far the best of what I have used. Expensive, but brilliant. My favourite GPX coil would be the 18" spiral wound Xcoil.

Have you been writing any new books? Your field experiences and the "enhanced" activities made good reading.

Hi Pablop, no mate I have not, the first half of the first book is how it was literally. Probably could do another just don't have the time at the moment. Even some written after the first half of the book was actually fact but mixed with the rest of the story.

Re: Been awhile.
2nd book seemed to be different from the first with less based on personal involvement and more fiction. But still a good read.
