SDC to the rescue
The little lady was doing some gardening and lost her hand spade. She reckons that she may have buried it in the soil.
Don't fear, we have an SDC here.
It took me longer to put the batteries into it than it took to find it. First swing and the SDC went ballistic. Couldn't be that easy so I swung over the rest of the garden and no signals. Back to first area and yes there is something there. Wife puts hand rake into ground and finds hand spade just under the surface.
My job here is done, back to drinking.
Cheers

Re: SDC to the rescue
The QED once found a spoon, so maybe the QED and the SDC are related?

Re: SDC to the rescue
I think the QED might be the poor neglected cousin.

Re: SDC to the rescue
I had a young girl come up to me on the beach once panicking she had lost her 18th birthday present a watch the day before. She said her and her friends had searched all day for it and had no luck.It was a very large beach so I asked her if she could roughly show me where it could be.I turned the 2100 on and 20 seconds later got a signal.Out came the watch to our disbelief. Needless to say a very happy girl.
