8.09grams while testing the new 19 inch coil for 7000
talk about hitting the ground running .... i only had a hour to put together and test the new big coil, so went to where i had found some smalls in the throwout of a old timers dig.
after scraping aside four bits of surface rubbish tin, the sweet sound of gold was still there. after 14 inches a 8.09 was in my hand.
i was in deep, normal, the same as i have been running for the last month with the 14inch. this 19in coil is quieter and with a sweet response that stayed the same with loudness, even when i lifted the coil six inches above the ground.
i have been joking that since the new 7000 came along i will have to live to be 87 to revisit all the spots that have produced gold, now i will have to revise that to about 97.
yes it picks up my pick about a foot closer to my face, and tends to pick up my rubbish bag if more than a couple of inches off the ground, (will have to empty that regularly).
WOW what a start, i dont feel like going out this arvo, might spoil the days high i am on

What a great start! (Be still my beating heart) I just picked up my Zed 19" coil...... can't wait to try it out.
The new coil is already causing me much anguish, I can't decide on whether to buy a Lamborghini or a Ferrari with all that gold I'm gonna find.

There is a Ferrari that has burnt out in Sydney a couple of days ago, you should get that at a good price !
Do you like a "burnt yellow " colour ?

Re: 8.09grams while testing the new 19 inch coil for 7000
no goldchaser, i never thought to test the signal in other settings as i was too interested in clearing away the tin rubbish and then was surprised to hear this deep signal had become the dominate noise. i had to dig through about 10 inches of throw out soil, got to original ground level, and thought, heres the rubbish that has been covered over a hundred years ago, but then only a couple of more inches down, still in the original topsoil (colour told a story) the signal was out, it was practically a sunbaker before the oldtimer covered it over.
i never even got excited as i didnt get down to subsoil or rock bottom before it was out of the hole.
this one definately had my name on it

Talking of lotto. Some lucky bugger across the ditch here won 44 million dollars all to themselves on Saturday night. And it wasn't me.
Nice going kevlorraine.
