newbie to w.a

hi there my name is Karl i have spent a few years dredging and detecting in new zealand south island my mate and i are now moving to western Australia fly in 21st of september 2013 and bringing my gpx5000 with me,will be spending 3 months there then going to nsw victoria area for about 4 months,i want to get into detecting over there but wouldnt have any idea of how legal it is ect i know i need a mining rights but thats as far as i have got so far,i am looking for prospecting clubs or good tours to go on?any body know of any good trips to go on or of people who enjoy detecting as much as i do and keen to organise a trip some time after,thanks

WA you will need a miners right $25.00 for life, which is good value. Good idea to get to understand Tengraph for WA

hi there everybody im in perth at the moment I have my mining rights and just been reading up on areas to find a area to get one of those section 40e permits sorted out,im quite keen to go out for a detect so if theres anyone keen send me a pm,thanks
