Need some help on some laws

I Recently have a GPX 5000, but am looking into the Gold paning side of things to I have been watching some stuff on the net about Dredging equipment and sluice machines where you can attach a water pump to them. I am interested in doing it but in a small scale wondering about laws for nsw is so can it be done ?

G'day Gohan007 you will be fine using a Gold Pan or sluice, but the Dredges are BANNED. Also you will need to check out the areas where you are going to use them as some areas may be restricted for prospecting. As I am from Vic so I am not a 100% on the Laws in NSW. You will have to check with the Authorities for your State.

Thank you for your quick reply its a shame that Dredges are banned ive seen some good ones for sale. When you say sluice are fine does that mean I can get away with a Highbanker ?, I am looking for something to process my material and dump it in so it will wash it. whats the NAPFA link to cheers

G'day Gohan007 yes I am pretty sure high bankers are ok. There should be some members from NSW here that maybe able to help you on the Laws of prospecting in NSW.

Definitely no dredges in NSW but if you get permission to be on the land you want to sluice/highbank with a water pump there's no dramas.
