signal enhancers noise

Hi every one , can some one tell me i have a detac signal enhancer on my sd2200 ,
i seem to get a very faint high pitched noise in the back ground aswell as the detector tone .

The noise is very faint but would just like to know wether this is normal or should i only be able to hear the detector tone.

Hi Zacc,
You will get a high pictch noise when the volume is all the way up. you can turn it downa bit and the threshold will still be as loud.

My old SD2000 used to do that but only with the standard coil.
I read somewhere (maybe here) it may have been coil harmonics or something like that.

Do you still hear it when you change coils?
