your biggest find with 5000

okay i was wondering what's the biggest nugget you have found with the 5000 with what size coil and how deep. and the smallest bit.

14.9 grammer, 15 inches deep, coil was a coiltek 17X10 mini ufo mono, settings were

Front Panel = gen
special = fine gold
fixed
mono

rear screen = all facory pre sets apart from
Gain = 17
Target vol = 14 for spkr use, windy day
Stabilizer = 7
Manual tuned to 223
signal = 19

nugget screamed at me and i was 90% sure it was gold straight away from the
mellowness of the signal....

Cant wait for the heat to settle a bit in WA so i can get out to
some really good ground over here.

gday fellas.
biggest bit was 25 grammer about 15 inches down using 17 in eliptical mono n/f coil
smallest bit was a .17 gram bit found with the standard 11 in minelab mono coil. this nugget along with several hundred other small bits were found pretty much on surface or just below it.
as i have found numerous small ones and got to hear how they sound, upon recieving the signal i got with the 25 grammer it just sounded very different to me. despite digging down a bit i still presumed it wasnt gold and hit the bugger with the pick.

sounds good pete thanks for that, used to be newbie thanks for that.... the reason i'm asking is i was chatting to a mate and we said that we havn't realy found out how big some off the gold has been found with the 5000 and at what depth and coil.... i have seen a 5000 working the grounds and i couldn't believe how it picked up 2 small bits out off a flogged area. i would love to get one and take it to some off my spots that i have found gold.

Give it a couple of months and the reports will start to flood in on bigger slugs
especially from WA when its our proper cool season, but most blokes are
keeping quiet these days about lge finds and for good reason.

beepinpete, that's true once winter and that kicks in it will be more getting out. but i just thought i would just see how a few people are doing with the new toy
