Concentric X-Coils for GPZ7000 Empty Concentric X-Coils for GPZ7000

It seems like the Russians have been busy, they have a 15" and a 17" proto type concentric x-coil for the Zed that they are testing out.

A youtube video link below show it being tested for ferrite balance, it's way to much snow over there to go detecting right now.

the way I understand it Joe is the standard design of an x-coil or the gpz14 standard coil is the TX winding is in the center and the RX windings are on the outer sides of the TX winding.

The concentric coil has the TX winding around the outer part of the coil and the RX windings are on the inner part of the coil

Interesting indeed Dave. Fingers crossed, it all works out for use on/over our own mineralized soils & if that were to be the case, then the new line-up design of concentric coils, coupled to the GPZ 7000, should take detecting for gold nuggets, to a whole new level & I look forward to further testing results.
BTW, any hint as to what other size concentric coils (apart from the above mentioned 15 & 17 inch) the X-Coil manufacturer has in mind of producing?

Yes Kon, they already have a 20"

I am getting the 17" and as I have 17" spiral now for the Zed I will be able to compare the same sizes.

I don't know if anything smaller that 15" is being planed but if it is I'll let you know
